At Yo, our staff has their heart in their work and their voice and ideas are heard and acted upon, thus constantly improving the experience.


A bit of Yo History —
Yo Burrito has been serving up healthy Mexican fare from the grill since 2000. The creation of the Mexican Grill and Tequila Bar came as I was passing through Philadelphia and found that they didn’t have a burrito shop. The next day, driving down the NJ turnpike, a flash went through my brain the world needs a Burrito with an attitude ... “Yo Burrito!’’

As I studied the idea of a healthy Mexican menu, I found that food could be reasonable priced, fun and good for you! As I reviewed the recipes in my head, I begin my search on the East coast for and ocean front town to set up shop. A friend mentioned ... “you have got to check out Charleston, it is the prettiest city I know" so I did, and it was.

Yo was warmly welcomed and grew to become a local hang out. We then grew to Columbia in 2002 and Mt. Pleasant in 2003. And now each store is like one big family serving up good healthy Mexican food fresh off the grill, to order. The experience is nothing but good times with a low key attitude.

Our success is born on the shoulders of our great staff and our loyal customers. Come by and become one of the family and enjoy healthy Mexican fare, have a drink and share a story. After a while we’ll call you by name.
